Strolling through Brighton

In a cold and dull day with wet and gloomy weather, I strolled around the outlandish but evocative city, known as the happiest place to live in the UK, of Brighton. The retro vibe I got from sauntering around the quirky shops and houses and from looking at the people dressed in vintage, unconventional outfits reminisced 'swinging sixties' Britain.

A vintage furniture store
A fabric store
"Irregular Choice" an eccentric shoe shop featuring shoes with Star Wars characters as the heel
Card shop
Books in Urban Outfitters
Candid shot of my friend, Nina, in a comic book store
Vintage books in Spider Plants, a vintage clothing store
'Alan is not a drawer but he can paint'
A flower shop
Beyond Retro - a vintage clothing store

Brighton is also quite iconic for the music and art scene. Wherever you walk in the city, and even in the outskirts, the walls are covered in amazing street art:

To fit in the quirky and retro style of this vivid city, I purchased this cute checkered midi skirt from Beyond Retro (my current favourite clothing shop) which I'm absolutely in love with!

It would look better if it wasn't overwhelmed with the striped jumper
